Aims of the project:

• To contribute to the access of immigrants to the labour market and to make easier their social integration.
• To research in depth the specific problems and needs that immigrants face when arriving in their country of destination.
• To determine the needs, both of educative materials and information databases, for those institutions that develop activities to support the immigrants.
• To make and publish a report that shows the main needs of immigrants and organisations working for their integration in the involved countries.
• To develop a Web Site to serve as a reference both for immigrants and those supporting them.
• To design a language-learning course in electronic format specially designed to fulfil the needs of immigrants, both informative and linguistic.
• To promote the use of the Web Site and a training course for the individuals and the organisations involved.
• To spread widely the project and its products both at the national and international level.

Products:

• A report on the main needs of immigrants in order to access the labour market and achieve social integration.
• A Spanish, Portuguese, English and Romanian language course in electronic format, specially designed to satisfy the needs of immigrants.
• A Web-Site including:
  • The multimedia course in Spanish, Portuguese, English and Romanian languages.
  • Relevant information to meet the particular needs of the immigrants.
  • Information about the project and its products.
  • A forum where immigrants can share information and ideas related to this topic.
  • Links with pages where immigrants can find further information that helps them to meet their particular needs: government organisations, associations, ONG's, training organisations, etc.  
• A multimedia and interactive CD-ROM including the training course.
• A wide dissemination of the Web site, CD-ROM, report and the project itself.
